Last year was a life-changing year for me.
Aside from turning 50, we made the decision to move across the world.
Even as I write this, my stomach does a little flip.... it still feels surreal.
In those first conversations with Dominic, my mind raced. My nervous stomach kept me awake at night, looping through endless lists:
- How to get the house ready to rent
- Finding somewhere new to live
- Choosing the right area
- Preparing our beloved dog for a long flight
- Finding a new school for Ruby
And that was just the logistics.
The emotional list was even heavier:
Leaving my elderly parents.
Saying goodbye to cherished friends.
Closing the door on over two decades of classes I loved.
Some people seem to sail through life transitions like this. I didn’t.
I’m a huge overthinker.
But in those long months, I found myself leaning on certain tools and practices, things that:
Calmed and soothed my nervous system
Helped me embrace uncertainty
Gave me space to express my fears and deepest feelings
Once we were unpacked and settled, I had a strong, almost unshakable feeling:
I wanted to bring those tools together into something others could use, anyone navigating change, anticipating it, or feeling too scared to begin.
Because whether it’s:
- Retirement
- Redundancy
- Empty nest
- The end of a relationship
- A big move
- Starting a new career
It all carries the same themes: stages of change, a loss of identity, and eventually, a new chapter.
And this is why I created The Grace Method , to guide you through the uncertainty, help you find your footing, and move forward with confidence and calm.
I love supporting people through this process, not just from training and experience but because I’ve lived it.
If this resonates, reach out to me , or share it with someone you know who’s ready for their next chapter.
